Pessac Euro Monetary Minting Trials Essai Type 2 Very Rare.

The information currently available to us shows the existence of three different types of coinage tests carried out at Pessac. Many other intermediate tests are known but a complete referencing is not yet possible.  The first series is probably the only one to have been presented in an official box.  Here we have what is probably the second presentation series, with 8 coins from the 1 cent to the 2 euros. This series was struck before November 18, 1998 (the date on which the edges of 10 and 50 cents changed from fine ridges to wide grooves).
